Overcome

I am only ever
thoughts away
from floods of tears
my sadness deep
My hope
Struggling for light
For my heart
To overcome

How heavy they are
The burdens of this world
How fragile our beings
But strong our will, to survive
Each new dawn
Is another chance
To overcome
